Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)
We offer another solution for businesses that want to install solar systems but are hesitant about the initial investment that solar requires. It is called a Power Purchase Agreement and works with the help of a third party financial institution. In a Power Purchase Agreement we, in essence, become your power provider. At no cost to you, We will design, install, and maintain a solar power system for your business. We then are able to sell this power to you at a fixed rate for 10-15 years. We own and operate the system and are able to sell you the power at a lower rate than the utility, which saves you money. Another benefit of this system is that the rate that we charge for your power is fixed and your savings can only increase as the price of electricity continues to rise. Please contact us at solar@mjrelectric.com if you would like more information on Power Purchase Agreements.
Benefits of Solar Power
A solar power system can dramatically reduce your operating costs and savings will only continue to increase as the price of electricity continues to rise. A solar power system also offers a good return on investment and partnered with government incentives and rebates, solar power can quickly begin to pay for itself as well as generate long-term savings. Solar panels are developed for long-term use and are designed to operate effectively with minimal maintenance for over 30 years. Generating electricity through the use of a solar power system dramatically reduces your company’s carbon footprint and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. This can also be an effective marketing tool as more consumers are making purchasing decisions based on the environmental perception of the vendor.
Wind Energy
We are also an installer of Southwest Windpower systems. These small wind systems are designed for the residential and small business sector. We can provide a turnkey wind project for your home or business. Small wind systems use turbines to generate electricity from the wind. Small wind systems can be mounted at various heights and can be easily integrated into your property. We currently own and operate a Skystream 3.7 wind generator at our facility in Gilroy.
